Conference Information

Venue

The physical conference will be held at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), Hung Hom, Kowloon, Hong Kong. Please find a campus map at: https://www.polyu.edu.hk/campus-map/index.html?lang=en_US&loc=W-HIK.                      

Reception

There will be a welcome reception/dinner on 4 Dec. 2022 between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm at Hotel ICON - Bistro 1979. A virtual reception will also be arranged at 6:00 pm.

Registration and Name Badges for In-person Participants

All in-person participants should go to the Senate Room (M1603) on 5 Dec. 2022 between 9:15 am and 9:30 am to confirm the registrations and receive the name badges.

Conference Opening Ceremony

The conference opening ceremony will be held at the Senate Room (M1603) on 5 Dec. 2022. All in-person participants should be seated by 9:30 am.

Lunch 

Lunch will be provided to in-person participants at the restaurant at 4/F, Communal Building. A take-way option is also available at Hotel ICON. Please check your email for filling in the required form.

Parallel Sessions

Parallel sessions will be held at P30X (i.e., 3rd floor of Core P). You can access the Core P Building through the Podium.

Zoom and Whova

Online presentations will be supported by Zoom. To enhance participation and interaction, the conference will also be supported by Whova (please check the email).

Hybrid Presentations

Paper presentations can be given physically or through Zoom. Please check your email for the Zoom links. Also, you can access the sessions through Whova.

Paper Presentation Durations

For full papers and short papers, the presentation durations are 10 minutes (plus 5-min Q/A) and 7 minutes (plus 3-min Q/A), respectively.

Poster Papers

For poster papers, a dedicated space will be provided for each author to present his/her poster (e.g., through a notebook). Posters can be shown through Whova.

Banquet

A banquet will be held at Hotel ICON - Bistro 1979. A take-way option is also available at Hotel ICON. Please check your email for filling in the required form.

Panels

There will be two panels on 7 Dec. 2022 (9:30 am - 12:30 pm) at the Senate Room (M1603). In particular, you are encouraged to join "Panel 1: TALE for the Next Decade" to share your ideas. Please also join "Panel 2: Hybrid, Online and Virtual Teaching - What Have We Learned in the Past Few Years"?

Closing Session

There will be a closing session at PQ303 on 7 Dec. 2022 (5:30 pm - 6:00 pm).
